Salute 2000 - The Aftermath

Declan Canning, your SALUTE 2000 coordinator, would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the people, traders, gamers, clubs, and above all the general public, who got together to make the show the big success that it was.  We really couldn't have done it without you guys.

See below for the SALUTE 2000 Game-related Prize Results and a report from the then President - John Treadaway, plus the results of the feedback from the questionnaires given out at the show, and finally the Painting Competition Results for anyone who missed them on the day.

Salute 2000 related stuff previously on this page can now be found on the Salute Show Archives page.

Winners of the main game prizes at SALUTE 2000 and other stuff.....

Every year Salute gets together a team of four judges, made up from representatives of three different visiting clubs and one from the Warlords themselves.  These judges go around the show and vote on games in a number of different categories, although judges are NOT allowed to vote on their own club’s games, and the Warlords games aren’t allowed to win the Salute Challenge Shield.  Judges this year were Mark Jones from the Gaol House Generals, Chris Banks from SWAT, Bryan Edwards from SELWG and John Treadaway from the Warlords.
The results were as follows:-

Salute is run each year by the South London Warlords - a wargaming, roleplaying and military modelling club who meet weekly every Monday evening (except in the month of August) at St.Barnabas Parish Hall in Dulwich Village, South London, between 19:00 and 22:30.

On the first Monday of each month the club puts on a large participation game that anyone can play in: they cover a range of periods and you need know nothing, an ideal opportunity for new members to join in and for established members to try something new. Check out the Monday Game Timetable to find out what is being played when.

This year the Salute Coordinator is Declan Canning 020-8677-1776.
