Travel to Salute 2001

SALUTE 2001 will be open from 10:30 until 18:00 on Saturday April 21st 2001, at the Olympia 2 Exhibition Hall Ground and First Floors, Hammersmith Road, London, W14.

Olympia 2 is easily accessible by Bus, Underground or Train.

Olympia 2 is just under a mile down Kensington High Street from Salute's old venue at Kensington Town Hall.

This is the entrance for 2001 - much better than last years...

It's really easy to get to Salute 2001 Olympia on public transport.....

By Underground Kensington Olympia station, in Zone 2, is directly outside Olympia and one stop from Earls Court station.

We have been informed by London Underground that, when travelling to Salute 2001, for the very last stops on the District Line between Earls Court and High Street Kensington and Kensington Olympia, a shuttle bus service will be in place on the day. At peak demand (ie the whole morning of Salute 2001) the shuttle busses will arrive every 180 seconds which is significantly better than the standard tube service! The longest wait at ANY time of the day will be 5 minutes. So NO problems!

By the time you will come to Salute 2001, this system will have been in place and working several weeks and this will not significantly affect travel times on the day (except in a positive direction!) and will be included in the regular cost of your fare.

By Train Kensington Olympia railway station, situated adjacent to Olympia Exhibition and Conference Centre, is served by Connex South Central's Gatwick Airport to Rugby service and Silverlink's Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction service. London's other major mainline stations are linked to Olympia via the underground network. Again, if in doubt, call British Rail Travel Info: 0345 48 49 50.

Car Parking

If you’re coming by road, Olympia is close to the M3, M4 and M40 and you can book a parking space at the Olympia car park - call 0800 0568 444 between 9am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. This is a good idea as the car park does fill up...
