Sketches for Saint George

Club member Mac Cross drew up some initial ideas and visualisations of the Saint George figure for Salute Zero Five.

After due consideration, it was decided that a more "historically accurate" period figure - depicting George as a Byzantine/Late Roman Cavalryman - would be the best direction to go in, but you can see the general idea developing in these initial drawings, which were supplied to gigure sculptor Mark Copplesone.
